My parents refuse to help me have relationships with their families and then get mad at me when I do have relationships, what do I do?

I miss out because of my parents, my mother more then my Dad.

For example they schedule their holidays right smack in the middle of the extended family and the extended family tells me to go be with my folks and see them at a later time.
